Gavilan Library Textbook Options: Print Textbooks

Physical and digital options for checking out textbooks

Gavilan Library has a number of print textbooks available for two-hour checkouts.
Photocopiers and scanners are available in the library to make copies of pages. 

To locate available textbooks:

To search for print textbooks for your course, you can follow this link, 
or you can just go to OneSearch on the library homepage, and before typing anything into the search box, select the "Reserves" tab immediately about the search box.  This will limit results to ONLY textbooks available in the Gavilan Library.

You can search for by subject, course, instructor, title of books, or even by keyword. Such collections are often called "Course Reserves," or resources set aside for a particular course.

Click on "search" and you'll notice the results are ONLY textbooks. In the left column, you can then refine further by both course instructor and course name.

Most textbooks are kept behind the front desk for limited (e.g. 2-hr.) distribution. 

The library staff at the front desk or the reference librarian on duty can help you if you're having and difficulty or have questions about our print textbook collection.
