Online Textbooks are materials that have been scanned by the library and made available online for students.
These items must be owned by the Gavilan College Library in order to make available electronically. If the library does not own the item, you could request the library to purchase the items for Online Textbooks, or if you have an extra copy of your items, you could donate it to the library.
- Online Textbooks are available only for registered students at Gavilan College.
- To access an Online Textbook, the student will need to sign in through the library's catalog using MyGav and using their G00# and Password.
- They are available for a 2 hour check out and can be renewed, if no one is waiting. A waitlist is available if an item is currently being used.
- Items will be processed in the order they are received. Depending on the volume of materials received and the length of item to be digitized, it could take up to a week to process a new Online Textbook.
